TYPO3 is a free and open-source Web content management system written in PHP. It is a very powerful and expanded CMS with huge possibilities. Its very advanced, but can do well in every case?

This script is developed as Open Source and is chosen mostly by more advanced programmers who are looking for a comprehensive application with many functionalities and are willing to invest much time in studying it.

Advantages of using Typo3 are-

1. Modularity- The main goal for creating Typo3 was modularity and diversity. Hence it is the great as a script for a company page as well as a base for a large news site.

2. Elastic Administrator System- Typo3 allows all kinds of permissions unlike other systems which provides only one administrator. This is permitted so that users can be a plain user can browse through the page content or administrator who can manage it.

3. Extensions- Typo3 offers thousands of other extensions that

are quicker and easier to install.

Disadvantages of Typo3

1. Installation and Modification- It is not recommended for beginners as it is not easy tvo install and setting up. It takes more time than the usual to learn Typo3.

2. From simple to hard- Content management for the editors in Typo3 can be simpler as compared to the administrator as they required to have a little more of the script’s know-how, it will be hard for programmers to crack.

Conclusion-

Typo3 is versatile and can be used to create both, simple and advanced websites with all kinds of content. However, it takes a lot of time to master it on the programmer’s side. Expendability and modularity are its significant features, but this means it loses efficiency and high demands on server resources.

Yii Framework

Yii is an open source, MVC based, object oriented, light weighted PHP framework. It is primarily popular amongst developers for general purpose web programming. Yii has garnered popularity because of the presence of advanced caching meaning. It means that, Yii is useful for web applications with high traffic flow, such as eCommerce sites and forums. It is a fast, secured and high performance application/web-development framework. Also, it enables front-end developers to embrace the framework faster.

Advantages of using Yii Framework are-

1. Easy configuration- Installation of Yii is comparatively easier. Once the structure is downloaded and the files are extracted, developers need to simply connect the files with the database, then give the configuration of the database which lies in the configuration file, and it is ready to run.

2. Caching- Caching is a very effective way to improve the performance of a web application. It helps in reducing the response time and improves the speed and performance of the web application. Yii allows easy integration of a cache application component.

3. Shortened Development Time: Yii offers quite a few tools to automate many of the repetitive tasks in projects. This allows developers to focus their time and attention on core business requirements and business logic. One such tool is called “Gii”. Gii helps in automatic code template creation for Models, Controllers, Forms, Modules, and Extensions. Disadvantages of using Yii Framework.

1. Requirement of Java Script- The Ajax features are not well-drafted and require the help of JavaScript whenever needed.

2. Dependency on static methods- The dependency on static methods is what make the developers to go against the framework.

3. Require knowledge on PHP programming language- It requires previous knowledge on PHP programming language and other add-ons. This at times make it difficult for the novice programmers to master this.

The advantages for Yii outcasts the disadvantages. In fact, the features like security against cyber-attacks, controller supporting, smart caching system and abundance of structures and themes are what attracts the framework to the developers.

Laravel Development

Laravel is a web application framework with expressive, elegant syntax. The development must be an enjoyable, creative experience to be truly fulfilling. It aims at making the development process, a pleasing one for the development. It is the most accessible and the most powerful, providing powerful tools needed for large and robust applications.

Advantages of using Laravel develoment

Disadvantages of Using Laravel Development

1. Lack of inbuilt support- Laravel has a limited inbuilt support as compared to other frameworks because of it being lightweight, but this issue can be resolved through a third-party tools, and hence you can get back on track.

2. Problematic with certain upgrades- Generally PHP platforms have issues regarding versions with long term supports and hence Laravel sometimes gets critique. It is a true saying that updates may cause minor problems but developers can smooth out the development with proper attention.

3. It might seem complex at first- There are some elements that could be a bit better. For beginners, development involves heavy documentation. However, because Laravel’s dedicated support and the huge Laravel Community, these initial steps can be painful.

In a PHP ecosystem, Laravel is certainly a dominant framework because it offers a large number of outstanding features which enable developers to build functional, fast and user-friendly web applications. On the other hand, just like every other framework, Laravel also has a few shortcomings, however, they are all simple to overcome.

Generally speaking, there’s no perfect framework or for that matter, any piece of software. If there was one that’s perfect, everyone would be using that one.
